Eurogroup for Animals is a pan-European animal protection organization that seeks to improve animal welfare standards. The organization represents animal protection organizations in several countries, including 26 of the 27 EU Member States.[1]

For over 40 years, Eurogroup for Animals has united animal advocates across Europe with a goal of improving the protection of animals.[1] They aim to challenge decision-makers to bring about positive change and deliver coordinated advocacy and campaigns at the EU level.[1]

Their primary focus is to work in the interest of animals towards a society in which they are valued and respected as sentient beings.[1] They protect animals by attempting to achieve better legislation, highest standards, enforcement, and by driving societal change.[1]

The organization has several areas of concern for animals, including lab animals, farm animals, cats and dogs, wildlife, aquatic animals, and equines.[1]
