Accipitridae is a family of birds of prey, commonly known as hawks, eagles, kites, harriers, and Old World vultures. This family is one of the largest and most widespread groups of raptors, consisting of around 240 species distributed worldwide. Accipitridae belongs to the order Accipitriformes.
