The Dog Meat (Consumption) (Offences) Bill was a Private Members’ Bill under the Ten Minute Rule, originated in the House of Commons, Session 2017-19.[1] It was introduced by Bill Wiggin, Conservative MP for North Herefordshire.[2] The purpose of the bill was to make it an offence to consume dog meat and to transport, possess or donate dog meat for the purpose of consumption.[2] However, the Bill failed to complete its passage through Parliament before the end of the session and made no further progress.[3]
