Guanches of the Sea - The Pilot Whales of Tenerife by Iro Tsarmpopoulou-Fokianou explores the lives of pilot whales in the waters near Tenerife, Canary Islands. These intelligent and friendly animals have the ability to dive up to a thousand meters deep, find their way back to their families using echolocation, and show curiosity and intelligence by interacting with humans. However, the massification of tourism and human expansion have posed challenges for these whales.
