Clovis was a 4-year-old male orca who lived at Marineland Antibes in France.
He was captured in the USA on August 8, 1970, during the infamous 1970 Penn Cove capture.
One young male, known as Clovis, was sent to Marineland Antibes in France. Here, Clovis met Calypso, the only other orca in the dolphinarium who came from the Northern Resident population.
Calypso died soon after her arrival at Marineland Antibes leaving Clovis alone at the park.
In February 1973, Clovis died due to myositis (inflammation of the muscles).
