A WikiAnimal project dedicated to all things elephant related

Elephants are one of the most fascinating and beloved animals in the world. They are known for their intelligence, social behaviour, and strong family bonds. Elephants are the largest land animals on Earth and can be found in both Africa and Asia. Despite their size, they are herbivores and feed on a variety of plants. Elephants play an important role in their ecosystems, helping to maintain the balance between different plant and animal populations. However, elephants face numerous threats, including habitat loss, poaching, human-elephant conflict, and captivity. This WikiAnimal project aims to provide comprehensive information about wild & captive elephants, their behavior, ecology, and conservation efforts to protect them.
