Dr. Marc Abraham, also known as 'Marc the Vet', is a veterinary surgeon, broadcaster, author, and animal welfare campaigner. He was awarded an OBE for Services to animal welfare in the 2021 Queen’s Birthday Honours.
Marc has experience across a range of different veterinary work (including small animal, mixed, emergency) as well as his volunteering abroad.[1] He is the author of four books; Vet on Call, Pets in Need, Lucy’s Law: The Story of a Little Dog Who Changed the World and #BeMoreMosquito.[2]
Marc campaigns for animal welfare issues in the UK and US; including promoting rescue pet adoption and responsible dog and cat breeding. In 2009 he set up PupAid, a national puppy farming awareness campaign. In June 2019, after a ten-year campaign led by Marc and over 300 visits to Westminster, the Government passed Lucy's Law into English legislation banning the commercial (for-profit/non-rescue) 3rd party trade in puppies and kittens.[1]
Marc is also the co-founder and secretariat of the All-party Parliamentary Dog Advisory Welfare Group (APDAWG).
PupAid
Marc founded PupAid, a national puppy farming awareness campaign, in 2009. The campaign features an annual celebrity-judged dog show in London's Primrose Hill. The event features trade stalls, 'best in show' style awards like Waggiest Tail and Coolest Dog, celebrity fans, all with the intention of raising awareness about the fight against puppy farming.[3]
PupAid aims to educate the public about the correct way to get a dog - either through rescue or from a responsible breeder - and to raise awareness about the cruel practice of puppy farming.
#BeMoreMosquito

Abraham shares in detail his personal campaigning tips, toolkit, and experiences from his own journey, which included over 300 visits to Westminster.
